J.C. Hart Joins United Way's Propel Event

At J.C. Hart, we believe that building strong communities means investing in the people and ideas that move them forward. That’s why we were proud to serve as a sponsor of the 2025 Propel event, hosted by United Way of Central Indiana. This annual gathering brings together community leaders, innovators, and nonprofits committed to creating meaningful, lasting change. One of the highlights of the event was the Propel Pitch Competition, where six visionary organizations took the stage to share solutions to some of Central Indiana’s most pressing challenges. We were especially proud that our CEO, Charlie Kurtz, represented J.C. Hart as one of the event’s judges, helping to evaluate the pitches and award critical funding to organizations making a difference.

Congratulations to the 2025 Propel Pitch Winners:

Family Promise of Greater Indianapolis – Awarded $40,000 to expand housing support for families facing homelessness

Mirror Indy – Received $20,000 plus the $19,994.95 People’s Choice Award to grow community-powered journalism

P30 Indy – Earned $20,000 to boost entrepreneurship and job creation on Indy’s Far Eastside

Additional Finalists Included:

Coburn Place Safe Haven – Supporting survivors of domestic violence with safe housing and services

Deeply Ingrained – Empowering youth through agriculture and hands-on learning

Pink-4-Ever Ending Disparities – Addressing breast cancer disparities through education and advocacy

Events like Propel align with our core values—integrity, innovation, passion, teamwork, and development. As both a sponsor and a participant, we walked away inspired and reinvigorated, ready to continue our mission of enriching lives and communities.
