Company Experience

In 1973, John C. Hart, Jr., joined his father at Hart Development Corporation. In 1976, they formed the John C. Hart Company, Inc. to serve as the management division to Hart Development Corporation. In 1982, John, Jr. acquired John, Sr.’s interest in the company, changed the name to J.C. Hart Company, Inc. and laid the foundation for the growth and direction of the company. Professional Accomplishments

John, Jr. has served on both of the Board of Directors of the Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis and the Indiana Apartment Association, serving as the President of the Builders Association in 1990. John served as the National Director for the National Association of Home Builders from 1991 through 1993 and was chosen Builder of the Year 1988 by the Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis. John was also honored with the Association’s highest award, the “Mike Boeke Outstanding Service” award in 1997. John received the Joe Rhodes Memorial Award in 2005 from the Indiana Apartment Association for his years of contribution to the Indiana apartment industry. John is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Indiana and was designated by the National Apartment Management Accreditation Board as a Certified Apartment Property Supervisor (CAPS).

Education

John, Jr. received his Bachelor of Science in Business Finance from the Indiana University School of Business, Bloomington, Indiana in 1973.

Community Contributions

John Jr. serves as a Godfather for the St. Mary’s Child Center of Indianapolis and is currently on their Board of Directors. He served as President of the Carmel Dads’ Club in 1997-98. John is a former member of the Board of Directors for Woodland Country Club and was the President of the Board for 2001-2002. John is also serving on the Board of Directors for the AAA Hoosier Motor Club as well as The Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel, Indiana.
